The Placement Cell at IMS offers career services for students as a primary liaison between the students and the business community with the responsibility of full-time placements and summer internships. The presence of a full time Placement Officer provides the much needed thrust and guidance for placement activities.
The activities in the Placement Cells are taken care of by a Placement Committee, which is formed after the members are selected from amongst the students after rigorous eligibility tests like Academic Performance, Group Discussions and Personal Interviews. The committee thus formed assists the Placement Officer and provides a platform for the students to interact with the industry and help them in shaping their destiny.
The committee undertakes the following activities:
- Sending presentation teams to various organizations in different parts of the country to put forward the mission and objectives of the Institute.
- Inviting various organizations from different industries for Campus Recruitment Programme (CRP).
- Follow up with the organizations as to schedule the recruitment visits.
- Regular review and feedback on the performance of the placement committed by the faculty and the fellow student
