The MBA (FA) programme at IMS is conducted with the following primary objectives :
- Familiarizing with the financial and regulatory environment to facilitate the financial decision making.
- Acquainting with the basic analytical tools and techniques of financial decision making.
- Providing an insight into the accounting skills and techniques and then to use the data information for financial planning and control.
- Developing a basic understanding of issues involved in equity research and conceptual framework for security analysis and portfolio management with their applications.
- Familiarizing with issues involved in managing global financial service management and marketing.
- Understanding the concept of risk in the context of finance and managing it through Derivatives and Insurance.
- Imparting necessary skills for planning, appraisal and review of projects.
- Applying the methods and procedures of financial planning and decision making in different areas.
